Is it just me or does it seem like this years football team has an electric type feeling to it? There seems to be more excitement going on about this team then there has been in a long long time. It helps alot that the team has worked so hard and is delivering on the good feeling. The first 2 games were hard fought losses and SUU had some flaws but I feel and I know others do that this is a new begining for Utah State Football and I know this year is going to be a success, does anyone feel the same?

I agree. It almost feels like everybody has accepted it as a given that usu is going to win some games this year. Turbin and Borel are helping too, but Gary has made everyody believe that the aggies can be competitive again.

We have a solid team and I think we are going to do work and win some games. I really want to see BYU and Boise State go down especially if we beat Boise on ESPN in Romney how special would that be my head would probably explode from the rush and excitement. It would be great national exposure about whats goin on in Logan Utah and hopefully some great players would want to come here because of it

Yeah, I would prefer beating BYU though so we can start getting some in state players to come to USU. Once we get that done, I think we will be able to compete with Boise, but right now, Boise State is one of the best teams in the whole country.

Ah I dunno what win would be more meaningful to Utah State. If they beat BYU, yeah the in-state recruiting would be great and plus, think how fun it would be to be able to give YBU fans crap for the next 3 years, but beating Boise... in Romney... on national TV... it sure would be nice to have some sort of national respect. Everyone knows us as that school in Utah that ISN'T good at football, beating Boise would make people wonder about that.

yeah but if BYU beat us and we beat Boise, cougar fans would think that meant they were better than Boise.

I agree things definitely feel different this year. It was great to see so many people around town wearing Aggie gear on Saturday. It's a great time to be an Aggie!

Today is the big day and there is still that good vibe going on of optimism. I still feel that USU can pull this one off, BYU is definately overlooking them and what USU has going. You can tell from comments by players on BYU and journalists who cover them that this should be an easy win when I know it wont be the Aggie offense will be pumping with the ground game and air attack and hopefully that defense smashes Max Hall and then Riley Nelson

I am trying to maintain a level of reserved optimism over expecting to win, but I do think we will surprise a lot of people with our progress no matter what tonight.

Its about time the Aggies get the elusive WAC win. Its amazing the pattern that has happened over the last few games. The Aggies have very good first halfs ESPECIALLY on defense and then in the second half things break down and the teams seem to get in. One glaring thing that stuck out this past week was the lack of turnovers by USU. That was a well played game while almost getting many fumbles by LaTech. Wagners interception was AMAZING but those are the type of momentum shifting plays that can determine games. I hope the Aggies can continue this trend and build momentum with wins over Fresno and Hawaii to build up to the big game on Friday the 20th at Romney. There is many injuries on the Aggies defense with many of the big playmakers suffering injuries but I feel the Aggies can continue to clamp down and play some great football

The win can help a ton with confidence. However, I think we will be back to where we were Friday of last week if we don't win one of the two games on the road trip. If we can win one, we have winnable games left in Idaho and SJSU. A 4-4 record in the WAC under GA's first year would be huge, especially after being 0-6 on the road last year and 0-4 on the road so far this year.
